Last night I rode the bike up to Indian rock after reading some little segment somewhere on some random bouldering website. Since it was just me and without a crash pad or belay gear, I just did some mellow routes and goofed around some. It's pretty cool that there is some decent bouldering problems on *real* rock right here in the east bay. I still need to get over to Cragmont to check that spot out.

When on top of the rocks, I saw ONE top-rope anchor on a rusty bolt and a number of busted off bolts and smashed anchors. I'm curious if people actually top rope at Indian Rock and if so, do they just tie off around a rock at the top and do a top-belay?
